Here's for you Aunt Kim!

As promised here are the pictures of the double-whammy hugs! We sure had fun - even Cousin Ryan. Robyn did chicken out and not do it, maybe next time.

Fall Adventures

So here we are and it has only been three weeks since I last posted - good job Emily! Well we have had a great fall so far and are looking forward to the holidays. These first pictures are of Max being the quarter back during his last flag football game. He did a fantastic job. The entire season he hustled and worked hard. I am very proud of him. Kieran enjoyed going to the games and practices too.

For Halloween we went to the local pumpkin farm and picked pumpkins. The kids had fun and Max picked the biggest pumpkin he could find.

This is a picture of the first time I let Rowan eat yoghurt all by himself - it was very messy.

During October Aunt Kim came to visit. We had a great time, of course. The kids warmed up to her right away and loved giving her double whammy hugs (I'll have to post pictures of those another time).

Rowan is sitting in a pile of leaves and enjoying himself! He loves to play outside now that he can be a bit more independant. It is almost cute to watch him fuss and flail himself when I am carrying him when it is time to go inside. We also already had our first snow storm. Max had two snow days even which was fun - he got to play in the snow and be lazy for a few days. Kurtis and I were fortunately already prepared for this years snow. We had three kid shovels ready and waiting. Hopefully, if the kids continue to think shoveling is so much fun they will do it when they get older too.

Okay, so Rowan now officially gets into everything nothing is safe! As you can see he found a new use for a mesh strainer.

Here we are for Halloween. Kurtis was a doctor, I was a witch, Max was SnakeEyes form GI Joe, Kieran was Tigger, and Rowan was a skeleton. We had fun trick-or-treating with Ben and Tina's family. After that we made the rounds to Aunt Kira's and Diane's (a good family friend) and then to a few families in our neighborhood. We were home soon enough that we still got some trick-or-treaters at the door. Max had a blast handing out gobbs of candy. We didn't get as many trick-or-treaters as I had thought we might and had a lot of candy left.

Kieran at his first house!

Rowan got a musical helicopter for his birthday and enjoys dancing to the music. He spent about 20 minutes pressing the button repeatedly to keep on dancing!
