Christmas Post

We had Max for an entire week and we loved it. We did as many family activities as we could. We had a great Christmas and a fun week. We played outside watched movies and even went to Jumpin' ( a big place with lots of big bouncy things and slides). Here are jsut a couple of pictures of all of our fun. The picture above was actually taken a few months ago but it fit this Christmas post just right so I put it in.
We went down to see Jack and Ty and have dinner and lots of fun!

The boys enjoyed decorating the tree.

It took awhile but we finally persuaded Kieran that he could go in the big pile of snow. He didin't really like it after he fell face first. Poor thing ended up going inside.

Max made a big hole for himself. He probably sat in there for about 15 minutes until I told it was time to go inside.

This is me helping the kids with some of the yummy treats from their stockings.

Max and Kieran are opening up Max's gift from Santa - night vision binoculars. The binoculars are really neat. We played hide and seek in the basement with them in total darkness. It was fun and also a little wierd to see in the dark. Our depth perception goes off kilter a bit using infrared and it was hard not to run into things that seemed a bit further away than they actually were. Grandma even hid for one of our hide and seek games.

Grandma is helping Rowan open his hat and gloves.

Here is Rowan dancing to his new cute little dog.

Here are the boys making crayons! It took me awhile to find this crayon maker - in fact Kassiah, my sister in law, found it in Helena, MT and sent to me. We have made a few batches of crayons already and love it. It is neat to see what colors we can make.

All Christmas Day and the day after Kieran wore this hammer in his belt loops and hammerred things everywhere we went. It is pretty cute watching him put in there. He wore it to the bowling alley and to Target.

The boys are wearing there bowling shoes. Pretty cute!

Aunt Kira and Cousin Ryan came to have fun too. Aunt Kira just played with Rowan which was such a great help.

Dad is helping Kieran push his ball and knock down some pins! Kieran had a great time bowling and didn't want to leave when it was time.

Rowan ate cookies while we bowled.

Max is cutting the ends off of beans. This is how he helped to make Christmas dinner.

Kira holding all of the boys on her lap - didn't last long.

Dad has a new breakfast partner. Rowan has taken over Kieran's post as mooch.

Rowan has enjoyed playing with Dad's shoes this entire week!

Kieran and Dad reading books on Kieran's bed. What a moment.

Update

Once again time has flown by. I suppose we have been pretty busy this last month. Kurtis and I had our first weekend away from the kids. We went to Las Vegas and we missed them like crazy. We had fun, but were absolutely exhausted when we got home. Enjoy the pictures of my cool kids!

Here's for you Aunt Kim!

As promised here are the pictures of the double-whammy hugs! We sure had fun - even Cousin Ryan. Robyn did chicken out and not do it, maybe next time.

Fall Adventures

So here we are and it has only been three weeks since I last posted - good job Emily! Well we have had a great fall so far and are looking forward to the holidays. These first pictures are of Max being the quarter back during his last flag football game. He did a fantastic job. The entire season he hustled and worked hard. I am very proud of him. Kieran enjoyed going to the games and practices too.

For Halloween we went to the local pumpkin farm and picked pumpkins. The kids had fun and Max picked the biggest pumpkin he could find.

This is a picture of the first time I let Rowan eat yoghurt all by himself - it was very messy.

During October Aunt Kim came to visit. We had a great time, of course. The kids warmed up to her right away and loved giving her double whammy hugs (I'll have to post pictures of those another time).

Rowan is sitting in a pile of leaves and enjoying himself! He loves to play outside now that he can be a bit more independant. It is almost cute to watch him fuss and flail himself when I am carrying him when it is time to go inside. We also already had our first snow storm. Max had two snow days even which was fun - he got to play in the snow and be lazy for a few days. Kurtis and I were fortunately already prepared for this years snow. We had three kid shovels ready and waiting. Hopefully, if the kids continue to think shoveling is so much fun they will do it when they get older too.

Okay, so Rowan now officially gets into everything nothing is safe! As you can see he found a new use for a mesh strainer.

Here we are for Halloween. Kurtis was a doctor, I was a witch, Max was SnakeEyes form GI Joe, Kieran was Tigger, and Rowan was a skeleton. We had fun trick-or-treating with Ben and Tina's family. After that we made the rounds to Aunt Kira's and Diane's (a good family friend) and then to a few families in our neighborhood. We were home soon enough that we still got some trick-or-treaters at the door. Max had a blast handing out gobbs of candy. We didn't get as many trick-or-treaters as I had thought we might and had a lot of candy left.

Kieran at his first house!

Rowan got a musical helicopter for his birthday and enjoys dancing to the music. He spent about 20 minutes pressing the button repeatedly to keep on dancing!

Rowan's Birthday Party!!!!!

Yesterday was Rowan's 1st birthday! I can't believe that my baby is already one. We all had a great time, especially Rowan. He got some new toys, clothes and his favorite a musical card. He certainly enjoyed his cake once he figured out what to do with it. The last two pictures are Rowan playing and then dancing with his card. Super cute!

There is a lot of commentary in this little video that has nothing to do with Rowan - so just watch him do his cute stuff.

Very cute video!

Oh my how time flies! I started school again in August and have been kept very busy ever since. The kids are growing so fast I just can't believe it. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures as well as the video.

So I have tried multiple times to upload a video of Rowan walking and have failed miserably, but finally it has worked. This is so cute. He gets better at walking everyday and even can attempt walking faster. He likes to play chase and run away from me when I want to change his diaper. He is sure ready to turn one in a few weeks. He is such a big boy.
